There are quite a few of us, aren't there?

Your name: Liz
Where are you from? New York, NY during the year, farther upstate during the summers
Your SO's name: Tom
Where are they from? Somewhere around Sydney
How long have you been together? Exactly 5 months as of yesterday.
How did you meet? There was a website we've both long since stopped visiting, but that's where we originally met each other, about four years ago. We only started talking to each other one-on-one about two years ago via AIM, and the rest is history.
Have you met in person? When? Sadly, no. However, I'm hoping to be able to do an International Exchange program through my university during my junior year, and he's definitely coming stateside with his family in '09, and he says he can get separate flights and just come see me instead of doing touristy stuff.
What's your favorite part about being in a transpacific relationship? The looks I get on people's faces when I tell them about it... everybody thinks I'm crazy. And picking on each other's accents can be fun. Aluminum only has one i!
Plans for the future? Like I said, visiting... both of us happen to be keen on the idea of living in Ireland, so who knows... maybe once we're both done with school, that's where we'll end up.
Any pictures you'd like to share? Nope, but if there ever are any, I'll make sure to put em up here.

So good to have you here!
Heh...I like to pick on Mark's accent, too. Does Tom say things like "I sawrit the other day..."? Ooh, and another one that really got me was "broccoleye". It totally caught me off guard. :)
You will have to tell us when you get to meet him! It will be so exciting!

We don't have a member stats section going yet, and we will have to work that out. For now, though, I'm going to tag your entry as "intro."

Welcome! It's great to see people here in similar situations.
Ahh, 5 months! That's how long Kristi and I have been together as of tomorrow.

Ireland sounds nice. I think I'd prefer Scotland though.
The future is good :)
